Sizing & Fit Guide
Find Your Perfect Barefoot Fit
Every brand and model fits a little differently — that’s why we provide individual size charts on every product page. Because we carry so many different barefoot brands, sizing may appear in US, European (EU), or UK formats depending on the manufacturer. Always check the product description and chart carefully before ordering.
The best way to find your perfect fit is to measure your feet and choose your size based on foot length (in cm) rather than your usual shoe size.
If you plan to wear socks, measure your feet while wearing them for the most accurate result.
🎥 Watch: How to Measure Your Feet
How to Measure Your Feet
- Place a piece of paper on the floor against a wall.
 - Stand barefoot (or in socks) with your heel touching the wall.
 - Mark the tip of your longest toe.
 - Measure the distance from the wall to that mark — that’s your foot length in centimeters (cm).
 - Add 0.3–0.5 cm for natural toe space and comfort.

Use this total to compare against the brand’s size chart on each product page.
Understanding Brand Differences
Because every brand designs and labels their sizes differently:
- Some use US sizing, others European (EU) or UK sizing.
 - LEMS shoes are unisex — “W” stands for women’s and “M” for men’s.
 - If you have wide feet as a woman, it’s worth checking out men’s styles — they often have more width in the toe box.
 - For juniors, smaller women’s sizes like 4.5, 5.5, or 6 can often fit perfectly — and these are frequently found in clearance.

General Sizing Tips
Some of our sizing recommendations based on community feedback:
- Origo and Be Lenka tend to run small, so sizing up is often best.
 - Vivobarefoot can sometimes feel slightly roomy, but is generally true to size and consistent across models.
 - Xero Shoes are typically best for more narrow feet.

Choosing Based on Foot Shape
Your toe shape influences which brands feel most natural and comfortable:
- Slope feet: Big toe longest, others gradually shorter.
 - Mountain feet: Second toe longest.
 - Plateau feet: First 3–4 toes about the same length before tapering.
 - Square feet: Toes mostly straight across.

Bunions Aren’t Genetic
Many people assume bunions “run in the family,” but in reality, they’re caused by years of wearing narrow, restrictive footwear — not genetics. Once you return to foot-shaped shoes, your feet can begin to realign and strengthen naturally.
