Stable, grippy shoe for gym workouts

I got these shoes specifically for working out, and even more specifically for weightlifting, because I was finding myself removing my super-cushioned running shoes while lifting in order to have more stability and a better grip of the floor. I like that these shoes have more structure than some of the other VIVO barefoot styles, especially up around the arches/sides of the feet. I feel secure. The soles are VERY grippy. They are kinda tight across the tops of my feet, but not uncomfortably so. I am not sure how they'd hold up to a lot of jumping around, but they seem fine for the small amount of high-impact exercise I do (short bursts of jumping, etc). I recommend these for anyone wanting a more barefoot feel or closer contact with the floor in the gym. I think anyone just wanting an everyday barefoot shoe could go with the cheaper version of these -- you don't need the fancy ones for just walking around.

I purchased this after the first shoes I chose were too small. This shoe may run wide but the size I wear normally was too narrow for my foot. They breathe well and seem durable. I can't wear them without my feet hurting. I walk barefoot a lot so my feet are wider than average. Recommend going up a size when purchasing this item.
