ok for cold weather but not canadian winter

I recently purchased the white Xero winter boots , but unfortunately, they didn't quite meet my expectations. While they are waterproof, I found them to be insufficiently warm for extremely cold days.
The sizing was also an issue, as I ordered my recommended size according to the website, but the boots felt tight. As a result, I couldn't wear thick socks for added warmth.
Aesthetically, the boots aren't the most stylish option, with a bulky design that's more suitable for everyday wear rather than dressing up for a winter outing.
As my first experience with Barefoot shoes, I'm unsure if they're the best choice for me. Sadly, I've started experiencing toe pain since wearing them.
Overall, I had higher expectations from this brand, and these boots fell short in terms of warmth, comfort, and style.

Light and very comfortable, only downside is that they have a very slippery sole, this is not ideal for ice and snow on sidewalks and pathways, which is typical for Ottawa winters. I bought these boots for winter wear, so I had hoped they would have the grip that is needed for winter weather.
